Dr. Pete performs many surgeries that are typically done at specialty clinics onsite (versus contracted to an outside veterinarian).
Complex Orthopedic and TTA Knee Surgery done onsite
Dr. Pete performs many orthopedic surgeries such as i.e. TTA, ACL, Luxating Patella, FHO, UAP, and OCD.
Digital X-Ray and Digital Dental X-Ray
Digital radiography is a form of X-ray imaging, where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film.
Laser Surgery
Laser surgery is performed by utilizing a high frequency beam of light to cut and cauterize, which reduces bleeding and speeds healing.
Advanced Dentistry
We perform general dentistry and oral surgery procedures with the aid of digital radiography, tissue grafts, and a specially trained team.
Platelet Rich Plasma
Plasma platelets are harvested from the pet’s blood, then re-injected. This helps the pet’s body to improve the ability to heal itself.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy helps to treat pets with arthritis, tendon or soft tissue injuries and promotes wound healing.

Healthy teeth are the window into your pet’s wellbeing. By making your pet’s dental health a priority, they will be healthier and happier!

Titer testing
Titer testing is available for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo Titer. An appointment is needed for our team to draw blood, spin it down to serum, prepare the sample and ship it refrigerated to the lab. Results are available in about 8-10 days.

Our new client Cheri sent this video to express her Thanks to Dr. Pete and the team for “putting Clara back together again” after a larger dog attacked her. One interesting part of this story is that Clara was initially treated at one of the big 24/7 ER clinics in the cities. But, Dr. Pete had to make some refinements in order for Clara to heal completely. Another sweet part of this story is that Dr. Pete wiped away tears as he watched the video.
We have been going to Lakes Vet for 20+ years with our family dogs. I got my own dog, a Golden Retriever, and she has began having a lot of anxiety after a bad vet visit. When we went in for her annual today Dr. Anna and Claire the Tech were AMAZING!!! As someone with anxiety, it was so reassuring to see how they instantly greeted Daisy as they entered the exam room. They were patient, understanding, and flexible with Daisy’s needs. I am so appreciative for Dr. Anna & Claire!! Thank you for helping my baby girl!
